Mobile Are worlds compatible between android and iOS?

I have had Terraria on my iPod touch, for a while, and have recently bought an android version. My question is this; are worlds compatible between devices? I would use irxplorer to copy the world out of my touch, and onto my moto g.

So yeah, is this possible? Or is there a program that does this?

Not that I know of, I tried to do this and I could find no setting or app that could do it.

Well if your android is rooted , It is possible try what i did:
Go into terraria folder of your applications and click documents
Var>mobile>applications>terraria>documents
Find your world and copy it and paste it in any of pc's folders , as long as you remember where you left it
Now , you could upload it to dropbox or directly paste it into any of the folder inside the android device's memory.
You have to paste it in
Root>data>data>com.and.games505>terraria>files

Multiplayer between ios and android is possible i don't think that ios maps aren't compatible with android...
