Nothing. The world started as nothing. Amid the nothingness, A god was created. This god was known as "The Guide". The Guide then created a planet. This planet was called "Terraria". The Guide created plants and creatures. The Guide continued to create these creatures, some were hostile and aggressive, others just wandered around. However, a dark entity came. This entity was called Cthulhu. Cthulhu came to Terraria, and reaped havoc on the planet. However, before Cthulhu could do any more evil, The Guide attacked Cthulhu. After a long battle, The Guide killed Cthulhu. Before Cthulhu could be finished off, Cthulhu put a little bit of his soul into Terraria. This corrupted Terraria, causing a part of the world to transform into a purplish, deadly biome. This land was housed by giant, blood-thirsty worms, and floating abominations. Within the corrupted landscape, lived a giant worm. This worm slept underground, and this worm slept until its slumber was distracted. This corruption grew, and grew. Slowly taking over the land.

The Guide tried to contain the corruption, yet he was growing old. He wasn't as powerful and he used to be, so he crated the first humans, in hopes that they would contain the corruption. The very first human was called Moon Lord, Moon Lord was the strongest human, and was agile. The second human was called the Dryad, she knew how much the corruption has transformed the land, and could manage to heal people. The third human was a Clothier called Alfred. Alfred was a expert at making clothing, and everybody bought his wears. And the fourth, and final human, was a Tinkerer. The tinkerer made everybody's weapons better. However, the Moon Lord and the Clothier had a horrible fate befallen upon them. The Moon Lord was taking a stroll in the desert, when he was hit by a vortex meteor, causing him to be injected with vortex fragments. This made the Moon Lord mutate, and grow, and lose his legs. And Alfred was building his new clothing shop out of bricks. However, Alfred started going insane while creating the building, and continued to build, and build. He continued to go down, and down. It was more of a dungeon, at this point. One day, he died while creating the dungeon, and the dungeon was corrupted, and monsters filled the area.

However, before Cthulhu could do any more evil, The Guide attacked Cthulhu with all the power he had. After a long battle, The Guide killed Cthulhu. But with Cthulhu's last breath, he put a little bit of his soul into Terraria. This corrupted Terraria, causing a part of the world to transform into a purplish, deadly biome. Chapter 2:
The Guide tried to contain the corruption, although he was growing old and his strength was waning. He created the first humans, in hopes that they would contain the corruption. The first human that the Guide created Lune. Lune was the strongest human and was very agile. The second human was called the Dryad. She knew how much the Corruption had transformed the land and worked to stop it, creating magical powder that would erase the Corruption's deadly grass and stone. The third human was a Clothier called Alfred. Alfred was an expert at making clothing, and everybody bought his wares. And the fourth, and final human, was a Tinkerer, a goblin. The Goblin Tinkerer took weapons and reforged them, heating them up and cooling them down. This made the weapons stronger. However, Lune and the Clothier had a horrible fate befallen upon them. One day Lune was taking a stroll in the desert, when he was hit by a vortex meteor, causing him to be injected with vortex fragments. This made Lune mutate, and grow, and lose his legs. He started to call himself the "Moon Lord" and began to practice dark magic. And one day when Alfred was building his new clothing shop out of bricks he started going insane while creating the building, and continued to build, and build. He built down and down, through the earth, creating the dungeon. He died while putting the final touches on the dungeon. The dungeon was corrupted, and monsters filled the area.

Seems sort of like this thread is abandoned, so I'll continue editing this comment here and recreating it.

He built down and down, through the earth, creating the dungeon. He died while putting the final touches on the dungeon. The dungeon was corrupted, and monsters filled the area.
The Vortex Fragments within the Moon Lord told him to search for the other celestial clans above the stars. He found the Stardust Clan, a clan that summoned copies of itself to fight; the Nebula Clan, a clan deep immersed in magic, and the Solar Clan, one that fought with weapons and armor.
The Clothier was reincarnated, having no memory of his former life, and still ridden with lunacy. He wandered the dungeon entrance, seeking someone who would help himself by destroying his master at night...
The humans that The Guide created were slowly falling apart. And the Moon Lord, laughing with glee, charged at the Guide with his four clans at his side.
The Guide was old, and his strength was gone. But just before the Moon Lord ripped him apart, he created two humans. One, a copy of himself, with no memory of its creator. Two, an entirely new human, with a purpose—to kill Lune, the Moon Lord, and to stop the madness that was rising. The Guide created these with his final breath, and then the Clans and the Lord of the Moon fell on him, never to be seen again.
As the copy Guide and the new human appeared in the world with a flash of light, the townspeople scattered, sensing that the Guide was dead. The Goblin Tinkerer went and joined a goblin army and the Dryad went away to build a home somewhere else that would later be known as The Living Tree. And the Guide and the Human stood there.
A peculiarity about the Guide began to arise inside him—he knew everything about this world. Everything. About Cthulhu, the Moon Lord, how to craft every single item that there was—Everything!
