Nothing too surprising there, Valhalla Knight specializes in ballista, and although daybreak doesn't pierce it's a very strong weapon. Great for the ogres and Betsy. Also the Valhalla Knight's breastplate gives you an insane healing rate. I haven't tried the other Tier 3 armors yet, but it doesn't look like they have any comparable abilities. Melee speed is not the only parameter you'd want to get?
Also, why so much talks about Daybreak? Mediocre single target dps, no AOE at all. Why the hype?
 
I'd take Solar Eruption over Daybreak any day, but to each their own I guess.
With any kind of invasion I really want a weapon that slaughters stuff by the dozen, not one at a time. :p

The melee speed, or the Daybreak? :D Melee speed boosts Daybreak itself pretty poorly btw.
