What is TEdit?
TEdit is a stand alone, open source map editor for Terraria. It lets you edit maps just like (almost) paint! It also lets you change world settings (time, bosses downed etc), edit chests and change sign, make epic dungeons, castles, cities, and add rewards for your adventurers!

This thread is for feedback! It is an easy place to post issues and feature requests, so let me know if you have any.

MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR WORLD BEFORE USING THIS!!!

It will make one for you (*.wld.Tedit), but you should make one anyway.

Sorry for bothering but I have Terraria from steam loaded on this Computer and it works perfectly fine but when I open up TEdit the left screen stays White even if I make a World in the program itself the upper right shows the world but thats about it. I've got the newest Tedit Version they have out there and I've tried doing searches with no luck and I don't have any other computers to run the program on to see if that works so was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a way to get it to work out there?

oh really?

NOT A VIRUS?????
Yes, really. It has been downloaded thousands of times by members of this community without any sort of infection reported.

If you trust your AV software more than the people who actually use the tool, then don't download it.

I just downloaded and scanned it to be sure, there's nothing wrong with it.

Did you extract the .zip? There's should be a .exe called "TEditXna.exe". That's what you run. What version of Windows are you on? We need more info then what you gave to troubleshoot it. Thanks!

Yes its extracted.
I use the Java thing for opening .exe's and they work.
I just don't know why it's not opening.
Also I'm on Windows 10

Not sure what the "Java thing" is, but you should just be able to double click the ".exe" and it'll open. No need for Java at all.

Nevermind, It works now
I'm glad you got it working, but you seem to have your default file extensions incorrectly pointing to the program that opens them. A ".exe" should have no program assigned to it, but the ".exe" extension on your computer is assigned to Java for some reason. If you remove the Java program's association with the ".exe" extension, you should be able to open executable files just fine. Just google default programs file extensions for W10 and you should find some tutorials on how to change that.

That or you have explorer hiding the actual file extension, which might be the case because TEditXNA.exe should be larger than 2KB. Turn on "File name extensions" to find the actual executable. Cheers!
