Tool TEdit - Terraria Map Editor

found something interesting, It seems you can modify modded worlds, the only extent that I went to was to remove the crimson and saved it (not before making a copy) and reloaded and despite TEdit saying the space was empty found the Calamities Astral meteor biome right where it was. I haven't done a comprehensive search to see if all is well but so far it seems so.

I keep getting a unhandled exception on a map whenever I go to edit it in TEdit, its Diceman's big afk farm. Was trying to use it to get a good count on blocks and such and I keep getting that crash when I get to the room with all the paintings on it. Anyway to fix this? Not had it happen on any other map

Even though the link is removed, the release is still available on the github repository
You can download it here, and by then clicking on TEdit3_v3.10.17116.209.zip to download it.
You will need a tool that can handle .zip files such as 7zip, to then extract the .zip file. This .zip does not contain malware.
I always find ad.fly links scary, but github is always trust-able.

not if you have windows 10

Hey, lots of people out there are Mac users (including me) and most of us would like a way to get this on Mac. It would be very nice if someone could convert this to be usable in Macs.

Not what you want to hear, but you can always use bootcamp to install Microsoft Windows and the developer doesn't have to spend time on a port and continue to improve the app. Just my opinion, but it is a solution for all of us that have Macs, I own a MacBoook Pro but prefer playing on Windows myself.

Actually, I agree with you on playing on Windows instead. It would be really nice if you could give me a link to a detailed tutorial or something!
thanks for the answer

Edit: I found a youtube video, if anybody else wanted it here is the video:

What is TEdit?
TEdit is a stand alone, open source map editor for Terraria. It lets you edit maps just like (almost) paint! It also lets you change world settings (time, bosses downed etc), edit chests and change sign, make epic dungeons, castles, cities, and add rewards for your adventurers!

This thread is for feedback! It is an easy place to post issues and feature requests, so let me know if you have any.

MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR WORLD BEFORE USING THIS!!!

It will make one for you (*.wld.Tedit), but you should make one anyway.

[doublepost=1546402583,1546402550][/doublepost]Im trying to make my world Expert to normal. Since Im playing on the skyblock mod.

guys, we really need a Mac version. i know there's parallels but,
Unfortunately that would require TEdit to be rewritten from scratch, as it's currently isn't written with portability in mind. That is a major task, which I doubt anyone have the time/energy to do.

so autosave need to be removed, because it doesnt save anything, im making my map thinking its saving then it crashes, i loaded my save and my map was a way older version of what i was making.

Hi, new user here. I've followed a few tutorials and learned the basics, but haven't seen if this is an option:

Is there some way so that while using the paintbrush to lay down a large area of blocks, the outer edge has a "random/natural" appearance to it (so you don't have to go back later and hammer it out to look natural)?

Top of the window
Extras: Brick style
Unfortunately, its manual, you have to go block by block, also make sure you zoom in

you can always use "bootcamp" and dual boot windows 10 to make the mac better and be able to run TEdit :)
could also dual boot it to linux too i recommend mint cinnamon edition and you can use wine to run anything windows from there and get all the nice linux stuff terraria also boots faster

Can you use WINE to run Tedit from linux?
I have not used wine for linux in a long while. However, it did work back then. Again this was back before Terraria 1.3, somewhere between 1.24-1.3. A while a go. lol. So I would say it will work, but not as well as if you ran a windows operation system.
