Oh, well, I was hoping for a bit more effort than "Crimslime underground now", but whatever works, I guess.

Well, the Corrupt Slime has a more interesting variant: the Slimer.
You could follow the same concept of having a more interesting version of a slime and give the drop to a cooler Crimslime, instead.
That's as far as I'll go with this, though; this isn't my suggestion.
