Okay... now, we have a problem. I want to be surprised by the game, but the curiosity is killing me. So... the best chance I have is to forbid myself to come back to this place until I have played Journey's End. I really wish I had more self-control and could read here without clicking on the changelog as soon as I would see it :D Even knowing that it will posted here later is... aaaaargh... See you guys after release :)
Don't feel bad man, you're definitely not alone. The hype is so unreal that it's almost impossible to avoid spoilers. :)

For something like this, I can recommend Keep Me Out to keep you away from the entire site, unless you just mean this thread. It makes me wish that Xenforo categories can be collapsed, but I think that's a Plugin.

can i ask why you have such a restriction?

are you young with strict parents, or what?

you'd think due to the state of the world as it is, restrictions like that would be less of a thing...
Well, for starters, I'm twelve almost 13, and when I was younger, we had no restrictions on screen time, and when we had to get off we were extremely grumpy for the rest of the day. So we got two hours of screen time a week, that can be played in 30 minute segments. Eventually we got it up to 2 and a half hours a week, but it'll be a while till I can increase it again. Yeah... Strict parents.
But something must be wrong with my mom, because unless it was a dream, which it might have been, she was willing to watch them. No, it was probably a dream.

Hey it’s not that bad, my friend’s parents are not letting him have electronics during the summer....

I can appreciate one's parents' wishes to keep their children occupied with diversions that may stimulate intellectual growth or avoid them getting fat and sedentary, though it should also be acknowledged that not all games are purely for entertainment. It's not as if it's unheard of that playing video games can be helpful to certain people in certain fields. It's just a matter of what the person wants to do with their life and how these activities will help them. I played a ton of RPGs in my youth (Baldur's Gate, anyone?) and it's definitely increased my ability to read and comprehend social undertones. Those writers were brilliant, I tell you.

So who knows what benefits playing Terraria may have on one's brain. I'll bet it helps deal with spacial awareness at a minimum. I know I'm always planning my builds in my head while I play, and I don't want to accidentally make a house one tile too small.

EDIT: Got Ninja-posted by Tunnel King. It happens. :p
How do you get the changelog?
It should be posted in this very forum (Not this thread that you're reading now.) within maybe six hours, if the pattern of new threads being made here is being read properly. Obviously don't hold me to any time estimates; I don't actually work here.

I don’t work here either, but I think it may be some time around 1pm edt or is it est? I don’t get time zones out of mine....

The changelog will hit at 6:00pm for me.

Will it list the items? Or will it just list the changes to the base game (since it is called a changelog)?
