So some armor set are without set bonus, also, some vanity item could have some (joke) effects, here are my ideas:

And Wood set (except Spooky): Add improved stats bonus (similar to Well Fed buff) in its surface environment, also the Rich Mahogany works also in Underground Jungle, and the Pearlwood armor (consider its hardmode armor) should give 15 total defense, a minor stats bonus in all biomes except evil and underworld and major bonus (similar to Exquisitely Stuffed buff) in the Hallowed surface.

(pink) Snow armor set: 10% reduced cold themed damage (similar to Warmth potion).

Obsidian armor: Immune to On Fire! and Burning defuffs and 30% reduced fire themed damage (but not cursed flames).

Cactus armor: 33% reflected damage (stacks with thorns potion).

Angler armor: Negate negative effects form time and moon phases on fishing powers (so new moon will give no penalties on fishing power, but full moon still give bonus). Also make enemies less likely to target you.

Gladiator armor: 15% increased damage from Shortswords (Rule and Starlight are not included), Spears and Javelins (including Javelin, Bone Javelin and Daybreak :indifferent: ), also give 20% velocity for Javelins.

Bee armor: Also gives 10% damage bonus to bees you summoned from items like bee gun. Negate the speed penalties from Honey and Honey block.

Molten armor: Also gives Immune to On Fire! and Burning defuffs and 30% reduced fire themed damage (but not cursed flames).

Spider armor: Also makes you immune to Cob Web (your will not be slowed down by it, nor can you break it by touching)

Chlorophyte armor: addtional (weak) set bounus for other helmets: Headgear: A Mana Regeneration effect (like Mana Regeneration Band), Helmet: 20% ammo velocity.

Stardust armor: The Stardust Guardian should be summoned manually by double press down and press again to cancel.

Viking Helmet: (set with iron or lead armor) 10% increase melee damage.

Archaeologist's set: Could be make an armor with 2/4/3 defense, also gives 10% increased mining/movement speed, slightly jump bonus and 30% reduced damage from traps.

Rune set: Could be make an armor, Rune Hat: 4 def, 30% increased magic damage and 20% increased magic crit chance (set bonus with any robe); Rune Robe (can be set with any magic hat): 6 def, +100 mana capacity, -20% mana usage, increase mana regeneration.

The following is the ideas for (silly) vanity items' effects:

Pupfish Bowl: Can now be put on head like Fish Bowl (and drowning you if you put it in armor slot).

Lava Serpent Bowl: Should be put on head. If you do wear it on armor slot, you will take damage as if touching lava (it already warns you).

Snow Hat/Beanie/Tam O' Shanter+Ugly Sweater: 30% reduced cold damage.

Eye Patch/Sunglasses: Reduced version (a weaker version of blindness).

Rock Golem Head: Could be used as a clay pot.

Creeper set: Explode upon death (destroy blocks, similar to explosives).

Snow armor: Seems fine but you could also give it protection from chilled and frozen too

For Gladiator it doesn't make sense that you are excluding the Ruler or Starlight if someone wants to take the huge defense penalty to use it with Starlight late game let them, this is Terraria.

For Spider make sure the negate fall damage effect remains intact as some people use cobwebs for that

Eye Patch/Sunglasses is just a terrible idea. Besides the reason Pirates used eye patches was so they had one eye preadapted for low light levels when they raided a ship and sunglasses were developed allow you to see in bright environments without degrading vision from UV light so it doesn't make sense at all either.

No to the Creeper set please just no. Remember vanity means no effects except cosmetic

Otherwise they seem fine
