bad things in the school system thread

As a straight As student in honors classes, I have an average IQ even though everyone says that smart people have high IQ, the schools should teach how to learn, it is harder than you think. You need to have a reliable attitude, be challenged, and know that hard work causes success. A lot of people with high IQ are living on the streets because that was their excuse.

You know how when you walk 2 feet into school and you got literally every teacher in the building saying
"TAKE YOUR HOOD DOWN!" or "TAKE YOUR HAT OFF!"
I hate that
I asked why no hats or hoods are allowed on in school and the teacher thought for a minute before saying "Its disrespectful."
HOW THE HECK IS WEARING A HAT OR HOOD 'DISRESPECTFUL'!?!?!

Schools try to get rid of kids who don't behave well or try hard in school instead of helping them because they can't be bothered to help or don't want to be responsible if things don't work out (also because garbage collectors are paid more than them)

There school system is based of grades and memory of certain information not life skills and improvement

This is just something that annoys me when teachers say your here to learn not talk or something when I'm actually here for legal reasons (well in Australia at least)

(I probably put more effort into writing this than I did at a school today)

bullies
needs no explanation, we all have at least one experience with bullies. especially when you fight back
then you get blamed
even though
literally im pretty sure
there is self-defense classes in some schools
like dude

Yes, I also know the concept - of a calm student. I was them when I was in school. A lot has changed since college, and you're all going to change too. When applying, the most important thing is to choose a university that will provide good study conditions and, if you are applying to another city, provide a campus. After earn a college degree, you can work from anywhere in the world and be a highly qualified specialist. The college also allows you to play sports and participate in various competitions, you can even win cash prizes or a grand prize.

sports players get special treatment while members of lgbt or is special needs even if it seems they get special treatment theyre seen as a useless POS by the higher ups. like there was this sports player who did blackface to mock the opposing team and he only got suspended for 3 days but when my gay friend trips and falls down the stairs and breaks a chair at the bottom by falling on it the get ISS for a month And a broken femur. Also, they say the school system is inclusive for people of all religions, its not. They give christains special treatment. (But only in red states it seems).

yeah if i get an ear infection cuz of this 'no hoods' bs i am absolutely sueing
i no longer give a :red:ing rat's :red: about this school system

Staff members at my school don't do :red: about people that need punishments. I have a couple examples to share. (written by an :red:)

So there's this girl in my class that's really noisy, and just refuses to stop. She never listens to the teachers telling her to do her work because she's too busy humming the same exact stupid pop song. If she's wearing those noisy :red: metal bracelets she shakes them around a LOT. She's also openly admitted to being homophobic. She does random distracting :red: with her hands. Me and others have complained to the staff members, who refuse to do anything. I also asked if there was anything different mentally with her, so I could understand why she does this stuff, and she apparently doesn't have anything wrong with her. She's just annoying.

There's a boy in a class I used to go to that stares at me and follows me around- a lot. Sometimes, he'll try to sit across from me and look at me DIRECTLY IN THE :red:ING EYES when I notice him. He has been doing this since last year. If I'm near him, he's always staring at me. I don't even wanna know what he's staring at, I just want him to :red:ing stop. One time he kept following me around, looking me in the eyes when I turned around, and got mad at me when I told him to stop. Came up sobbing to a staff member and they got mad at ME instead. He says he just wants to be my friend- but I've said so, SO many :red:ing times I don't want to be his friend and that I feel uncomfortable around him. And what does he do? Keep :red:ing doing it, of course! Conduct code says :red: like that can get you temporarily suspended for up to 5 days before a permanent suspension. I have told the :red:ing people at the head office, for :red:'s sake, and they didn't do :red:. Worst punishment he's gotten was a 3 minute talking-to by a staff member and that was it.

I am so :red:ing done with this, every time I get harassed by either of those people I try to repress the urge to do away with myself when I get home.

you need to seriously get your parents involved and all of you scream at the friggin staff because they are seriously shirking their duties

My mom says it's not a big deal. My dad just hasn't said anything about it. I'm pretty much alone. I just turn my sadness into anger whenever I'm away from either of the offenders.

:red:en w0t
your parents just don't care? that is so friggin DUMB
and you're basically doing the same thing as I do
i'm just slowly adding to the mountain of anger everyday
i can only wonder when it'll turn volcano and erupt

There are a number of potential problems with the school system. One issue is the lack of individualized attention that students often receive. In a large classroom, it can be difficult for a teacher to give each student the individualized attention they need. As a result, some students may fall behind or become disengaged. Another issue is the pressure that some students feel to succeed. The high-stakes nature of standardized tests can lead to undue stress and anxiety, which can in turn lead to poorer performance. Finally, the school system often relies heavily on rote learning and memorization, rather than encouraging critical thinking and creativity. This can limit students' ability to really engage with the material and learn in a meaningful way. These are just a few of the potential problems with the school system.
