Biomes & Nature [Sprites] -The Cyber- a worthy adversary for the Crimson

Is this a mod yet? If not please, please make it one it would be amazing! This is super well thought out and would an incredible privilege to play this.

Welcome everyone, Zoomo here! I present to you my biggest Idea yet. This will address many things which I feel would Terraria would benefit from to become an even greater game than it is. I will refer to some things from my previous suggestions, so you might want to read those if you haven't already, you can read them [Here]. No seriously, if you don't read them this suggestion will make much less sense. I have been working on it for a while but I would still love to have feedback. Thanks for reading and please enjoy.

* * *

No I'm serious, go read them before reading any further.

Honestly, I don't think that the crimson fits with the hallowed very well. It works really well in the game and is a great alt to corruption... But it just needs something a little bit more thematic to go with it. Many have suggested alts which are interesting ideas, but they don't really fit. So I thought, rather than just think of a cool biome think of something which would oppose the Crimson like the Hallow opposes the Corruption. And what better alternate to a living diseased monstrosity of a biome... than a shining utopia which is clean, bright, and perfect... At all costs. It is a biome which would be filled with futuristic robots and steampunk droids alike. A biome which is devoid of all life, but not inherently dark and evil. One covered in fields of glowing lights, where huge robots have all but become part of the landscape.
The Shiny Sleekness of the Cyber would counter the holy light of the Hallow, and work in contrast to the crimson rather than making no sense next to it. I think this would actually add a lot more dimensionality to the crimson. As well as keep hallowed and corruption together how they belong.

While adding more content is great. I think that a big thing that needs to be addressed is the disparities between the Crimson and Corruption. In this suggestion I also have introduced some crimson items to fill in the gaps.

Another game changing part of the Cyber is the replacement for souls. In the Hallowed and Corruption there are souls, magical essence of powerful creatures. This doesn't really work for Cyber and Crimson though. So instead they have Cores. Much akin to the Frost Cores of the Frost Golem, these are powerful cores found within powerful enemies give them are crafted into new items more fitting to the Cyber and Crimson. Most of them are based around the seven deadly sins however wyvern's will drop a core with a more frost-golem like name.

The final part of this suggestion would be the addition of a true use for Adamantite and Titanium Drills. Hallowed and Cyber ore would be scattered throughout their respective biomes with diminishing returns each time the player downs a mech boss. If you think about it, the only attraction of going to the underground Hallow at the moment is for crystal shards. This would make it so that after the mech bosses there is still a reason to go back there. It would increase the longevity of the Mech boss part of the game and add more too the mining portion of the game.

Many alternate Hallows have been suggested, however I have been working on this idea since the crimson came out, and I believe this one would really work. I present:

Environment

The Cyber Is very much like the Hallow. It generates over terrain, doesn't destroy the Jungle, and fights for control with the Crimson. It can only appear in worlds with crimson, appearing upon the defeat of the WoF with the message: "The battle between order and chaos has begun" The Hallow may now only appear in Corruption worlds, and on the defeat of the WoS. One of the big gameplay changing things about this suggestion however is it's new ore. When the the stripes of Hallow & Cyber are placed, Hallowed or Cyber ore will be placed throughout the underground of their respective biomes. this can only be mined with powerful pickaxes though.

What you see above is how I think the cyber would look. It's a sleek silvery place with cyan glowing lights dotted throughout the landscape. The skies are cool and foggy, making it almost serene.

The Cyber is a utopia, however it is kept that way by it's guardians. Much like in the Hallow, as the player explores they will find the Cyber guarded and maintained by an army of robots with one purpose: Keep anything living out. The sky would be a foggy grey and misty, possibly even blocking the sun out altogether at times. Towering spires and other sci-fi-esque buildings would be seen in the background. and maybe even the bodies of the inactive mechanical bosses.

53cGAYD.png

-Click to enlarge-

At night the cyber really comes alive. When the sky grows dark, all the little lights in the grass and the huge ones in the trees will glow a beautiful Cyan. At night the music would be slightly less inviting almost eery. With cool clinks, clanks, and hums. the Hallow would have it's own night music as well. When it rains in the cyber the skies get dark, with huge storm clouds and lightning coming off, creating the ominous feeling that maybe you shouldn't be there.

The blocks of the overground Cyber are metallic with little blinking lights and huge glowing bulbs. Deep within the earth it is a boiler however, with lava and steam billowing and crashing through it.

There are three types of Monsters which inhabit the Cyber.

First there are the sleek shiny enemies which inhabit the surface. They are the guardians of the utopia which is the Cyber. They may seem almost comically streamlined, however they are intelligent and ruthless. Their are the moderators, which fly around surveying their domain. The floaters who seem peaceful at first but will then draw hordes of Cop Bots to attack the player. And drones who patrol the biome by night searching for anything amiss.

Once the player gets underground they will face more primal enemies, who care nothing for whether the player is intruding or not. They have been instructed to remove all living things and thus you the player. There are traps in the cyber making it seem like the biome itself is trying to kill the player. With Sawblades, Turrets, and even the beam cores you can harvest. There are also the fearsome Hunter Mechs, who chase after the player by any means necessary.

There is a final group of monsters in the underground. The Welders and Oilers. They are the maintenance robots of the cyber, only rarely found anywhere above the lava caverns. Steampunk robots which are programmed only to keep the giant utopia working, they don't care if they hit you, but that doesn't mean they own't mistake you for something needing to be fixed.

The cyber is filled with robots, droids, and machines. Read on to learn more about them.

The Cyber, like the Hallow, has a group of items crafted with a biome specific material. Both also have a set of biome themed gear, Hallowed and Cybernetic. Hallowed armour grants tremendous raw stat bonuses, the Cybernetic gives powerful boosting effects to the player.

Next, the underground Cyber's resource. While the Hallowed has crystal shards, pieces of brittle glowing crystal which explode into shards, the cyber has Beam Reactors. Beam Reactors are 2x2 block large spherical orbs, which are fixed to the walls of the cyber. This is fine, however the best part is their lasers. Beam Reactor items are based around beams, therefor I think it only fitting that whenever you get to close the will sometimes try to hit you with cyan Laser beams. They would deal a good amount of damage, but the weapons they make are incredible. Dangerous, but rewarding.

Finally in Cyber & Crimson worlds some mech bosses will grant different, less light vs dark oriented items. I have tried to balance them so that they are equal to the mech boss loot of of the Hallowed & Corruption. But please comment below with your thoughts.

-More on the next post-
Due to the image constraints of TCF the suggestion is in two posts.
This would be amazing in the game, it’s a shame it was never added ;-;

Is there already any mod based on this? There should be because this was created like 6 years ago so... I mean, this is a really great suggestion that has not received its deserved attention and now I would like to play it as a mod. Preferably in tModLoader.
