1. Are the winners public?
2. (if they are and if the winners been decided) Where can I see?

To answer both your questions,

The winners will be public, and they will be shared on these Forums on a new thread and on other platforms such as Discord and Steam. I will lock this thread and post a link to the new thread when the winners have been decided and announced.

To think it has already been a week since the Labor of Hallow's Eve has concluded. Time flies indeed. We want to provide an update on how the judging process is going for the contest. The main opening post of this thread will also be updated with this information for easy reference.

For those curious on the number of entries, we've had over 900 submissions across all platforms (Terraria Community Forums, Steam, Twitter, and Discord) It is a large number of entries for our contests. One of the biggest to date! We've been hard at work this entire week looking through the entries and eliminating any that were invalid submissions as well as anything that was stolen work.

For the initial judging which we are referring to as "Phase 1". We've narrowed it down to roughly 50% of the original number of entries. As of now we have begun Phase 2 of judging. This Phase involves each judge giving a score on how well the entry represents both Terraria and Halloween, along with the quality of the entry itself.

TCF Moderators including myself are scoring entries, but wait! It is not just us. We have also invited Moderators from the official Terraria Discord and Reddit to participate in the judging process. By inviting moderators from Discord and Reddit, it contributes to a bigger pool of judges. The average score between all judges per entry will be what determines the entries get carried over to phase 3. The final phase.

For Phase 3, we will pick 25 entries from each category (for a total of 125 entries) that have the best average scores of the bunch, and have the Re-Logic developers themselves score those entries. They will determine the final winners and runner-ups.

Once those are decided by Re-Logic. We will announce the winners and runner-ups shortly after. There will also be a community vote when the winners are announced to determine the ultimate winner. (The Ultimate Winner will get a real life Meowmere sword)

One more thing to mention!

Considering the amount of talent that went into this contest and the new format we've accepted entries. It would be criminal to not show many of the other entries that have been submitted. Even though there will only be a small number of people who get prizes, the fun doesn't end there.

We will also be posting another new thread at the same time as the Winner Announcements that will showcase many of the best entries we have had the pleasure of viewing in this contest. While the exact number is unspecified at this time. This contest is not just about the winners. It is also to share a lot of the talent that went into this contest.

Do look forward to both of these threads. We think everyone will enjoy seeing both the winners and many eye catching Halloween-themed creations!

Phase 2 of Judging has concluded. As of today, the judging process has continued to Phase 3. The final phase!

The top entries have been handed to Re-Logic Developers who will decide the winners. At the same time we are also preparing the special showcase thread that will show a good number of outstanding entries across each category.

We expect this process to take at least another week. Might be delayed a bit due to Thanksgiving coming up next week, but it shouldn't be too long after that until we are ready to announce the winners. With that in mind, we will do our best to have the winners announced around the final week in November. At that point both threads should be posted, and the Community Vote for the Ultimate Winner will begin!

Thank you all for your patience. We are almost ready! It'll just be a bit longer.
