I agree, this'd be hilariousNo, angel statues should still do nothing. They just glow to make it look like they WANT to do something, but just can't.

Ok, I see what you're saying, but personally I like the idea of having a few class-specific statues. But thats just me. Although I really like the idea of the 3 that create items. And i do see what you're saying about potion sicknessI think that all of the Statues should be classless, or else provide equal bonuses for more than one class. The way I did it in my long forgotten statue functions thread (which never made it to TCF) looked something like this, although a tweaked it a bit:
Sword Statue
Grants 'Fighter's Blessing'
+4% Damage.
Bow Statue
Grants 'Marksman's Blessing'
+4% Critical strike chance.
Woman Statue
Grants 'Lady's Blessing'
+4% Melee speed.
+4% Ranged velocity.
-4% Mana cost.
Spear Statue
Grants 'Titan's Blessing'
+Melee and Minion knockback.
Boot Statue
Grants 'Hermes Blessing'
+4% Movement speed
Cross Statue
Grants 'Healer's Blessing'
+0.5 HP/s regeneration.
Anvil Statue
Grants 'Armorer's Blessing'
+4 Defense.
Shield Statue
Grants 'Defender's Blessing'
+25% Knockback resistance
Axe Statue
Grants 'Woodcutter's Blessing'
+10% Axe chopping speed.
Pickaxe Statue
Grants 'Miner's Blessing'
+10% Pickaxe mining speed.
Hammer Statue
Grants 'Builder's Blessing'
+10% Block Placement speed.
+10% Hammer speed.
Some similarities and differences, just in case you wanted to see them.
Anyways, you might be interested in this. Statues that seem like they would spawn items on use, but in fact don't:
Mushroom Statue - Should create Mushrooms.
Potion Statue - Should create Lesser Healing Potions.
Sunflower Statue - Should create Sunflowers.
Granting Potion Sickness evasion so early on is probably a bad idea anyways.
Change the Potion Statue to an item-creating statue and add the Cross Statue in its place.
Anvil Statue
+4 Defense.
Shield Statue
+25% Knockback resistance
Give the Hammer Statue an additional Block Placement Speed bonus.
Cross Statue
+0.5 HP/s regeneration.
That's all I really care about.
Hammer Statue
+10% Block Placement speed.
+10% Hammer speed.
Why? Its not like that eould be Op or anything. Look at regen- palladium+campfire+heart lantern+regen potion+band of regen+honey. Its not like a single buff for another thing would be unfair.I like it, but it might get pretty overpowered when combined with existing accessories and items that give similar buffs. Sadly, no support.

Yes they can, but they give different buffs. May i also pose you this: cant buff potions be used all at the same time? But can't they all be used simultaneously? If they can't then excuse me, because that would be fine. :l

But they arent even very big buffs. I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but i think its not op at all.Yes, which is why adding statues that do similar things make it even more overpowered. ;p
If I might interject here, would it be so bad if they worked in similar fashion to campfires. As in, if you wander out of range you lose the buff?Yes, which is why adding statues that do similar things make it even more overpowered. ;p
Thats exactly how they work. Hence the name Area of Effect buff.If I might interject here, would it be so bad if they worked in similar fashion to campfires. As in, if you wander out of range you lose the buff?
I know, just the way he's saying stuff makes it sound (At least to me) like he thinks that it'll stick with you like a potion.Thats exactly how they work. Hence the name Area of Effect buff.
It would still be pretty OP for bosses, but it would be better. If I might interject here, would it be so bad if they worked in similar fashion to campfires. As in, if you wander out of range you lose the buff?
I still have trouble beating a lot of the hard mode bosses, so I think it would be fair. Also I think there was an option to turn them off and just use them as regular statues, that way you don't have to use them if you don't want to.It would still be pretty OP for bosses, but it would be better.
