Isn't it sort of funny how the best.. in fact, the only mining-related armor set is prehardmode? Well, I plan to do something about it.

Excavator
A somewhat rare enemy that resembles a drilling machine and follows the Worm AI. It spawns only after at least one mechanical boss has been defeated.

1000 health.
95 damage (holy...!)
40 defense.

Drops: Excavation Parts (100%).

Tunnel Crown
8 defense

Crafted:
12 Hallowed Bars
10 Cogs
Excavation Parts

Provides light when worn. +10% mining speed.

Tunnel Breastplate
19 defense

Crafted:
20 Hallowed Bars
14 Cogs
Excavation Parts

+1 tile reach. +10% mining speed.

Tunnel Leggings
10 defense

Crafted:
14 Hallowed Bars
12 Cogs
Excavation Parts

+12% movement speed. +10% mining speed.

Set bonus: grants Tunnel Vision, which outlines the block layout of the screen.

What do you think? Good? Not so good?

I'd say "Excavator's Armor" sounds cooler than "Tunnel Armor", but other than that I am all for this idea. However, a little more elaboration on the Tunnel Vision would be nice.

Great idea, simple but useful idea. I like the idea of the boss and the buff gained from the set. A nice switchout for when you're gathering ores. Also, I love the details included, way easier to review.

For me it's not a waste in any way, I find it as a very useful tool. Whenever I'm battling, I can simply switch it out with my regular armor.
