You can´t craft it, and the only other way to smelt Hellstone is using a Titanium/Adamantite Forge, so it is most likely at the same temperature as lava, but melts at a higher temperature.

A stranger thing about the spawners is that the Mechanical Worm doesn´t look like the Destroyer at all, unlike the other two spawners. In fact, it looks more like an EoS.
