Expert Mode Multiplayer Boss Health Scaling

Some friends and I wanted to figure out if there are any formulas in place for the bosses health increasing as more players enter the server in expert mode. We collected data to see if we can find any pattern with a couple of bosses. Here is what we have so far:

King Slime:

I hear that it worked in sets of 2. As in, 2 players and 3 players fought the same scaling, 4 and 5 players fought the next tier up, etc

No proof to this, though. Expert scaling is brutal though, it kind of demands that everyone pulls their weight, doesn't it?

that's definitely what it looks like, if i had numbers on 5p destroyer it'd be easier to confirm but i couldn't get a screenshot of it during wormfest

also edited my earlier post with all the other player count hp numbers i had screenshots of, i'd love to contribute more but i just don't have the sample sizes

Expert Scaling with a multiplayer server is very tough and punishes players that don't play at the same pace as everyone else. Most of the progression against bosses on my server was made when I was on my own and everyone else had gone to bed. I nearly solo'd Fishron with x4 player health though, but that damn final phase.... :x
 
Here's some percentage math for the Eye of Cthulhu:

Normal mode - 2800 (100%) [77% of expert]

Expert mode:
1 Player - 3640 (130% of normal) [100%]
2 Player - 4913 (176% of normal, 135% of 1 player) [135% of 1 player expert, +35% added base health per player (1 player being 100%)]
3 Player - 6976 (250% of normal, 142% of 2 players) [192% of 1 player expert, +46% added base health per player]
4 Player - 9565 (342% of normal, 137% of 3 players) [263% of 1 player expert, +54% added base health per player]
5 Player - 12504 (447% of normal, 131% of 4 players) [344% of 1 player expert, +61% added base health per new player]


Green is the percentage of health compared to the base normal mode HP.
Yellow is the percentage of health compared to the previous amount of health (-1 player), in expert
Red is the percentage of health compared to the base expert mode HP.
Orange is the added base health per new player, at that amount of players, in relation to the base expert mode HP


This appears to be a curve. There's probably a function for it or something, but I can't figure it out. But with each new player, it seems to get just harder, adding more weight for each already existing player to carry. I will take a wild guess based on my existing knowledge of curves and say that the increased added base health per new player caps at about 7 players, then starts going down. Making it so that, after 7 players, every new player just makes it easier.

I doubt that having more players would lower a bosses health after you reach a certain amount of people, it would probably just level out and stop increasing with more players.

I doubt that having more players would lower a bosses health after you reach a certain amount of people, it would probably just level out and stop increasing with more players.
That's what I meant. The amount of new health added starts going down in relation to the previous, but the total health is still going up.
 
Oh cool Someone did the math for me thanks Samrux. There is only one way to figure out if it caps out at 7 or not is to test it :D
 
In this video the Eye of Cthulhu is shown with 29364 HP. This is with at least 10 players, they didn't say the exact number of players when the eye was summoned.

I didn't try to mean it would peak, as in, peaking at a certain health. The health will always keep increasing, but will, over time, increase less rapidly. There are four different percentages in my previous post, so I know it was confusing.
 
I got some more information to add to this thread. I tried using screenshots to record the boss health but it was hard to get it for some of them.

Ones I know for sure:
King Slime: 3779 hp (2 Players)
Skeletron Head: 16866 hp (3 Players)

Ones I'm not completely certain on:
Skeletron Hand: 4099 hp (4 Players)
Retinazer: 40499 hp (2 Players)
Queen Bee: 6425 hp (2 Players)

Ones for Single Player:
Queen Bee: 4760 hp
Retinazer: 30000 hp
Spazmatism: 34500 hp
Skeletron Prime Head: 42000 hp
Plantera: 42000 hp
Duke Fishron: 60000 hp

Golem Head: 24000 hp
Golem Body: 13500 hp
Golem Fist: 10500 hp

I hope you did not put in all that work for single player bosses because most of those are on the wiki by now :D. But thanks for the data I will add it now.
