Standalone [1.4.0.5] Terraria Leveled RPG mod

Ohh~ Didn't know that TerraCustom works with it, thank you for the info. :p

Really impatient for SSC fix so I hope gotest can fix it soon~
I'm currently having trouble with the SSC implementation. I keep getting some weird error on the server that I can't seem to fix. Which in result, resets everything in the character. Even inventories.
Until I can figure this out, I'm going to be raging lol.

Bummer but that's alright, hope you can figure it out, mind telling me what it says? maybe I get an idea~
I appreciate the raging you do for me~

I have a pair of glitches on my version of Leveled.
The first is that when I level up, it flashes the graphic that I leveled up but the stats in the corner don't pop up to show what changed. This is purely graphical, because comparing the stats before and after has them go up, but it is weird because it didn't do this at first. It started mid-session on a regular server (hosted by a friend) and at some point it wasn't showing the stats on a level up, and it has continued despite changing to the most recent version and a whole redownload.
The second one is a bigger issue. Upon beating a boss (be it single player, multiplayer, and the two version I played) there seems to be about a 50/50 chance that it won't drop any loot and any events that would normally happen as a result don't spawn, but I can still get experience and level up. For example, I killed the Wall of Flesh once, and when I beat it no loot spawned, the blocks that hold the loot didn't spawn, and hardmode didn't activate. The weird part is, when playing on my friend's multiplayer server and the glitch happens, it comes paired with a train of other weird visual glitches, such as the message counting who did what damage not including me (but the damage is split as if I had done damage, minus actually showing my name), the game sort of freezing as if lag is happening for an extended period of time, and the previous bug where loot didn't drop.
I haven't tested it to see if it only ever does this when you kill a boss and level up on it because that's kind of hard to replicate, but it is still weird.
I've been using this mod for a while now (on v10.4, but about to update to the newest), and I've also seen this (I've only played singleplayer though). Every time I kill a boss (or any enemy) and level up, nothing that would normally occur on that enemy's death occurs. No drops, no hardmode, Dungeon Guardians still spawn, and so on. The most amusing was when I got an early Slime Rain one run, and each time I killed King Slime and leveled up, the count of slimes killed until he spawned would reset, along with the event timer. I had to kill him three or four times before I could avoid leveling and stop the slimes.

Also, this mod is great, and you and jopojelly apparently got it and TerraCustom to work together while I was busy with real life. They're two great tastes that taste great together!
I have tried to get this to happen to me and there's been no luck.
What were the conditions of when these were triggered? What version were you running? Were you running TShock? Was SSC enabled? What kind of server environment? When you say single player, do you really mean you're playing without being on a server? There's so many variables. I need specifics on EVERYTHING.

Unless I can replicate it myself, I won't be able to fix this.

Updated to 10.6.4.

The only change is SSC Support for TShock.
There could also be some bug fixes I forgot to list.

I'm running 10.6.3 right now and it's still happening, but it has happened since I first started playing in 10.4. No TShock, no SSC, and I really do mean that I'm not on a server (these all hold true of every time I've played). I've kept an eye out, and as far as I can tell ingame factors have nothing to do with it; anytime an enemy gives me enough experience to level up, I level 100% of the time and get loot/trigger events 0% of the time. Loot and events occur 100% of the time (subject to normal RNG) if a kill does not give me enough experience to level up. Experience is always gained on any kill (subject to the normal rules for environmental and summon kills). I have not experienced any visual glitches or lag when this occurs. This has happened with at least 5 different characters in at least 6 different worlds (5 Normal, 1 Critical), all generated using TerraCustom prior to adding support for Terraria Leveled. I have used TEdit to copy and paste the basic design of my base into some of these worlds, but others have never been edited and there has been no difference between them. I play with Autosave Off and Autopause On. When starting up the game, I run Steam, run Terraria Leveled, select Single Player, then select an character and world. I do not use cloud storage.
One of my worlds is actually experiencing a Slime Rain right now, with the repeating behavior if I level when killing King Slime, if there's anything you'd like me to try testing in it. Also, let me know if there's any more information that might be helpful.

Huh. I'd want to place a bet on TerraCustom for characters, but I've never used that myself. I do know that program is compatible since the author did work with Gotest with that, but that's all I got from that. For the kills, I really doubt it matters for weapon type and that sort, so I'll exclude info about that.

I do getting that you're having the slime rain going on, but I've never saw this happen before. Maybe we could get the files of the world/characters? I can do the world just fine since I use Tedit regularly, so using that would also help figure out how long it's been set for. It would be also good to know if you do get bags from it or not, or what's the case while it goes on.

It could also possibly be a slip in the code somewhere, so who knows what's causing it!

For me though, I was trying to replicate some of the fights (starting with EoC only), but it seems to be alright so far. I'll do Slime king exclusively, if that's what causing your issues mainly.

When it started happening I was on a server my friend was hosting (With the Grappl program), started on 10.4, and there wasn't anything that seemed to trigger it. I just happened to notice when it stopped showing stats on level ups and when boss loot didn't drop sometimes. I don't run with any other mods, updating it to the most recent version didn't fix it, and it didn't happen to either of the people I was playing with. I can also confirm that the lack of drops only even happens on the enemy you leveled up on, because I imported a character from vanilla Terraria who didn't have any levels and killed a bunch of stuff and enemies that trigger the level up don't drop coins or other things at all.
Honestly the only thing that I think could have messed with it was bringing a character from vanilla in. I don't remember when it started happening, but I know it happened at some point after I brought one into Leveled.

I'll check out that program later for usage/replication of the issue, kinda busy here for the moment. For character related import: Wouldn't be surprised if that's the case, because I seen it work and then not work on occasions.

Normally because of that, I just do a roundabout and make the character, then add the items I had before with Tedit.

TerraCustom is a worldgen program, not a character-related program. Also, it was used prior to the compatibility update.

For clarity, it's not just the Slime Rain, it's every time I level up. For example, killing the Wall of Flesh and gaining a level results in no loot, no box, and no hardmode; killing Skeletron and leveling up does not remove Dungeon Guardians and the Old Man is back the following night; killing a Mechanical Boss and leveling up does not count towards Plantera's Bulbs appearing; and killing Plantera and leveling up does not allow Biome Chests to be opened. The Slime Rain one is just very visible and easy to repeatedly test if it's going on.

I tried to upload a world file to this post, but it's apparently too large.

Edit: Also, I just tried creating a brand new character and world without TerraCustom to see if that may be the cause, and the Green Slime I killed for my first level up did not drop any Gel. There is however, a tiny yellow star that drops upon leveling; this is another thing that happens every time I gain a level.

Are you playing on low settings? If you only see one star on level up, it could be related to that. Since the amount of stars that appear are equal to the level you gained.
The stars use the gore mechanic, and gore changes a little with different graphic detail settings.

The reason I'm saying this, is because it could be related. The gore is causing an error and it doesn't let the code to continue executing. Cutting it short.

EDIT: I am seriously unable to replicate this issue. Try deleting your settings for leveled, or try reinstalling Terraria. These are all I can suggest at the moment, I'm sorry.
What are all your settings anyways? Including mod settings.

Apparently, Blood and Gore Off was the culprit. I just turned it back on and was able to reach level 4 from a Green Slime and get Gel and money, as well as 4 of the tiny yellow stars appearing.

Hmm... report back after a while and confirm that fixed it. With that information, I should be able to easily fix it.

Ok i noticed some random crashing after playing on Tshock Server using Mono Runtime and Ubuntu. it don't seem to be the case for when 1 person aka me is on the server but setting a second player seems to cause this after a certain time span is met...but then again his computer was complete trash both internet and computer wise so it might not be the best example so to double check im idling myself on the server to see if it crashes with just me alone on it. ill update when i can

EDIT : ok...i told um to say on the server with just him alone on it and it crashed. So i assume it has something to do with internet connections that may cause a crash?

Also reporting back, the gore was turned off, and turning it back on seems to have fixed the visual bug at least, and I am pretty sure the monsters not dropping things was fixed too. So that's a thing.

Well made a Few more tests on Mono Runtime and well i saw something happen then it autoclose / crash so i'm running it under debug. if i find anything ill let you know what i get.

Edit : Ok this seems to occur shortly after a few Game Days as passed and as soon as it Saves the next morning this occured.

Have you tried an earlier version of mono?
I had an issue with TShock when using the latest mono, so I'd say give that a try. I use mono 4.0.5.

this was happening on 3.2.8 so i'm gonna have to see what happens

Edit : well so far so good ill just leave this overnight for about 2 hours..
