That's the weird part though, even on nights that I've seen fireflies, I've never seen a single lightning bug, nor did any of the fireflies spawn in the hallow, they all spawned on the forest below.
What it looks like:
There's a forest biome about 25 blocks below. I've seen plenty of fireflies on the forest below, but not a single lightning bug. Been throwing platinum in shimmer every now and then, got a gnome, got a biome torch, got a water torch, and have been drinking battle potions...

Hopefully the jungle corrupting in a more reversible way is also added for QoL soon. No more mud changing to dirt when corrupted and then clentaminated, and such.
I actually stopped playing the game for years because of this, twice. The idea that your sandbox world can permanently (unless you want to singlehandedly rebuild an entire biome) lose variety is so incredibly anti-fun. I wouldn't care if it converted in a reversible way, like turning mud into...
