    All this long I thought 505 Games and Re-Logic worshiped Sony and Microsoft and didn't care about Nintendo... Turns out, I was wrong.

    Terraria was released on all existing last generation platforms, including the 3DS and Wii U.

    The Switch version has been planned for a long time, ever since the Switch itself was released. It's just taken longer than expected to get the current Console versions to 1.3 (XB1/PS4). Since they have the 1.3 version now, it's allowed Pipeworks to focus more on bringing Terraria to the Switch.
