I'm not sure about the Natellite Savigator but the idea of a Waypoint actually would be a very awesome idea perhaps it could put an arrow on the screen somewhere showing its direction and distance it could help with figuring out which way you want to go or keeping track of certain areas. EX...

I'm not sure if it's a little late now for a suggestion but I think allowing players to set up the controllers to how they like usually makes the game a bit more enjoyable. That could aso make for some interesting challenges if you make the controllers weird. But that's just my opinion great...
