After the defeat of the wall of flesh, I couldn't find the hallow biome on the surface. Instead it spawned under the jungle biome. I don't know if it has something to do with the world seed. I'll try to use my world's back up file and do it again if it makes a difference.

When I try to edit signs/graves, I can't type words and I have to use notepad to copy n' paste the words I want to put there. Though I can still edit chest names but not signs and graves. This also happens on both singleplayer and multiplayer worlds.
