I think Worm Scarf, because it's effect acts everytime. Turtle Shell (I bet it's the Frozen one), besides having an higher percentage, still acts only when your life is low.

Your idea it's cool too, but it would be complicated to program, because the Extractinator have about 25 items to give if it receive 2 specific items, but with this "De-Crafting" stuff, it would be about 15 specific items or more to give 4~20 specifc ore bars, and more 15 another specific items...

I think smelting would be good, as it is just for armors and simples weapons like Iron Sword and stuff. And the Ancient Sets have to be included, because they actually have one properly ore. (I removed the color of your text because I can't read very well.)
