I’m on an iPhone XR. Local large worlds are no problem even when I host others. I’m hoping down the road to have a Linux server for the whole family to play on whenever they want.
I have not successfully started a server on Linux that would allow the mobile client.
The issue I ran across was just like the op states though. The mobile client starts to connect, then dumps out to the main title screen again.

I had a similar experience trying a tshock server as it was the only Linux option. I was simply thinking it was incompatibility, but maybe it’s something they are working out in the mobile client still.
