You are walking around in the sun, minding your own business. When suddenly, you see a strange black line, very thick, cutting through the countryside. There are white stripes running down this line. Nothing else is around. What do you do?
You got to the other side.
Your days of living idly and doing the same thing day in, day out are finally over. You gather the group and follow the line. Upon beginning your journey, a large creature rushes down the line from the edge of your vision. As it comes screeching toward you, you run off onto the side. Fortunately, the others follow suit and nobody was hurt. It takes hours, days, weeks, before you see anything greatly varying from the usual. But, one night, you do finally see something special. The glow of bright, flashing lights. Excited about this new development, you hasten to get there as quickly as possible. Nearing the lights, your group is ambushed by large creatures. You were the only one that got away. Running faster than you ever have before, you find your way into a forest of large pillars. Spotting more of those creatures, you run into a dark spot between two pillars and sleep. Upon waking, a choice must be made. What do you do?
You further explore the forest. The pillars are everywhere, with only the black strip and a small measure of hard material separating them. Following the brightest lights, you come to one with a large, hollow interior. Two creatures guard the entrance. As you think about ways you can get past the creatures, two more come up behind you. They do not see you, however. One takes a small object out the the hands of the other, which then makes a loud noise. The two guarding the entrance chase after the one with the small object, giving you time to sneak through. Inside, there is a large gathering of the creatures, far too many to count. Another creature is standing on an elevated surface, with cages containing various small creatures behind it. You spot your group in a cage. The creature is making strange noises and gestures. There are strange objects all over the place. What do you do?
The creatures guarding the area come back and you have finally been caught. You are brought to the creature that you presume is the leader, then put in a cage with your group. You think you'll be sacrificed, or worse. You don't know what "worse" is, but you never know what could happen. Perhaps that was your final thought.
You find the nearest thingamajig and absolutely demolish it. A terrible stench pierces the air. Caught off-guard, you fall backward into a light behind you, which spills a solution into the object you broke, setting everything on fire. The creatures seemed caught off guard by this, running out of the pillar. The guards rush towards you, but a large cloud of fire has sprung up, separating you from your potential captors. You find your way to the cages at the end of the room. Your group clucks wildly and escape the pillar as they are let out of the cage. You follow behind as fast as possible. Looking behind you, you see that the entire construct is falling into your path. There is no possibility of escape.
Suddenly, you realise. Nothing is impossible with the power you wield. Running ahead of the group, you turn as fast as possible and sprint faster than any chicken as ever gone before. Now racing against the clock, your group follows behind you. You're almost there, but so is the pillar. It's going to crush you. You can't make it. Suddenly, a loud crash, and dust and smoke go everywhere.
You emerge from the smoke, still running with the group, to the edge of the forest. Creatures crowd around you, but are more focused on the pillar than you. Finally, you all make it out of the forest. Now slowing down, you make your way back to the place you knew. You are tired of running any longer. As you return to your barn, your person is nowhere to be seen. That's okay, though, as it is usually that way. You can now get some well-deserved rest.
You remain in this spot as long as possible. Unable to escape your fate, you are soon found by these creatures. The last thing you remember is being brought to a small pillar with cages all over it, containing many other, smaller, creatures. In one of the cages were the lost members of your group. You did get to see them again, perhaps for the last time.
You decide that you want to take the easy way out. You are no longer curious as to what this strange line is. One of the others can figure it out. You sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes and sleep. The next day, you continue your usual shenanigans. Trespassing, begging people for food, etc. Your life stays the same forever.
