    No, once you beat moonlord you beat the game, but you can continue playing, like Minecraft when you kill the nederdragon

    Actually, killing Plantera returns the Corruption/Crimson back to their Pre-Hardmode spreadrate. That said, it doesn't ever stop outside of Journey Mode (which I think has an option to toggle Corruption/Crimson spread).
