One thing you can do is make a new character before Monday, give the character a modded stack of something, then wait until the update comes out. Convert your character and see what happens. EDIT: Posted this before seeing what Tunnel King responded with. Sorry for the repetition.

Worst case scenario is that the update doesn't release today, but they have an official release date. Much better than "Soon.", imo. :p
