Okay, I found out what's wrong! Under "settings" and "autopause" when it's set to "inventory & menus" I can't place stuff. If I set it to "never" or "menus" it's working fine :) I suppose it's not meant to turn placement off? I also found out that a little dot in inventory wasn't turned on...
