Mobile Rifle scope/sniper rifle

I just got a rifle scope, but there is no apparent way to use it on mobile. Has anyone successfully used a rifle scope on mobile?
If not, please move this thread to bug reports.
 
There may be, but that would involve an extra button on the interface, and that would be pointless on the mobile edition of Terraria.

It may have a use in future patches however, we'd have to see.
