PC Where is my jungle temple?

We are currently in a large world and have searched for the jungle temple for hours. We discovered pretty much the whole jungle, but we can't find a temple. Because of this we can't continue our playtrough. Any suggestions or tips on where it might be?

You've pretty much explored half of the jungle.

As to where the temple might be, my guess is somewhere below where you are.
