A little hint: Link to the image itself, not the page imgur sends you to when you click on their "helpful" 'see image' linkage. Imgur is failtastic like that.
To get the URL to the actual image, right click->view image. Or if you're in some device which doesn't let you do that, just look at the page url and add '.jpg' '.png' or '.gif' and that should also do the trick.
