Hope you see some positive results. I know Windows 10 can, in general, be a little bit unimpressive in some areas.

VERY unimpressive, but the slide show lock screen is the best thing ever.

just tried to install using the setup i got from the microsft website, i am supposed to uninstall the previous installation first. There was no option to do that.

Oh. well

Go to Settings > System > Apps and Features to uninstall. Also, it's better to start with .NET 4.5.

well after installing the xna and reinstalling terraria, it certainly runs faster. But it flashes to black quite often, like 1.5 times second

Windowed means you can still access the Windows interface without alt-tabbing. Full screen mode means it uses the FULL screen, and thus, you have to alt-tab to access the Windows interface.
