Mods improve everything. Unless it's broken, then it doesn't.

I haven't been able to start it in months.
The launcher is fine, but nothing else is.

Try removing all your mods then. They're probably outdated.

Dunno where the folder is.

It's in SteamApps/common/Starbound/giraffe_storage/mods/
