Will something like a door or a trapdoor breach the wall stopping the Crimson? Would it be safe to put doors/trapdoors to facilitate passages across the cordons?
They can't spread on empty blocks, you know. As long it is wide, it's good. An empty space of four blocks wide, like a hellevator, is as effective as putting up four blocks wide tower that expands across the expanse of hell's bottom and the heavens.
H/C/C cant spread through blocks that arent infectable, and backwalls cannot spread infection to foreground blocks (background infection is purely visual)
So yes, you can bridge gaps, just don't bridge them with regular stone/grass/sand/ice
Putting it like this: I want to make a mean to pass through my gap without having to go to the surface, and asking if putting doors/trapdoors on the brick cordon would affect its function in containing the Crimson.
