Odin, Selena, and Lazlow are all children from Fire Emblem Awakening. They all change their names. Odin used to be a myrmidon, so I have no idea how the heck he learned dark magic.

Considering his last name was dark, he claims to be a knight of darkness, and he fight for Nohr (Dark side), he probably used a heart seal.
Wait, how the hell did he get in ancient Nohr and Hoshido then...?

I guess the same way Before Awakening occurs. Probably through those portals.
