It's all well and good for an experienced player to alter the difficulty of the game through what they use (e.g. copper shortsword, amarok, whatever you want). But for someone who doesn't get the game yet, a broken weapon or tactic can give them a bad idea of what it's about.

To boot, steamrolling the game with a broken strategy detracts from the overall experience as a gamer. You don't get to experience all the stuff that Terraria has in it: crushing defeat, tough boss battles, tactics, etc.
