In PF, unlike Clerics, Paladins aren't restricted to one step to a deity. They can worship any non-evil deity.
In fact, they don't even require a deity and can derive their pally stuff straight from the concept of Good.

Right. They HAVE to be lawful good, meaning that their intrinsic values would clash with almost any CN deity.

I'm fairly sure Warpriests and Inquisitors were made specifically because of that one flaw of Paladin, while they wanted to keep Paladin as similar as its 3.5 version as possible. It's kind of a bummer when classes are alignment restricted and I'm fairly sure the designers realize that, in fact I don't think most PF specific classes have any restrictions.
