What Social Forum are you trying to join that's listed as public and open?

The Social Forum is set to "Moderate" on the Social Group status (it doesn't display this publicly), which means only the Social Group creator can allow people to join after they've approved them. I'm not able to join it normally either.
I would reach out to the Social Forum Moderator to request to join the Social Group.

It doesn't show me the moderator.

Also, I naturally assumed that I was on probation for something, as my internet flickered, so it said I did not have access to go to a page I should be able to go to.

We're continuing to look into it. It's not just on your end. We tested it on ours and have the same issue. We will let you know when we figured out what's going on.
