Mantis shrimp can punch so quickly the water around their limbs boils in a process called supercavitation, making cavitation bubbles. When the cavitation bubbles collapse, it creates a shockwave which pretty much makes a shockwave that kills the mantis shrimp's prey and makes tiny sparks of light.
