that was a lot of questions. seriously. i have to make two posts for this!
sorry if i seem like i'm fanboying or something and i'm just another weird guy on the internet. in case you happen to see this, i hope you can answer the questions.

9 months to release 1.0 - spent another year on updates and could add another solid couple months for the 1.1 update in 2013.

Before I launched it, 6 months in before I released version 1.0, I was worried the effort and time I invested would not feel like it was worth it in hindsight, but I was always super wowed by the compliments and reviews it got, and surprised by the number of downloads (170,000) and the following it got even years later.
