My 3DSs R trigger died pretty fast, 2DS is still working great even having MK7 and playing a lot of Smash (lots of shielding) for more than 7 months. Maybe get that if possible?

I think a regular 2DS has better triggers they are bigger and firmer, if you want to give the new models a shot thats your call.

I probably will considering the 2DS isn't as convenient for carrying around. Both of the new models are compact, better specs, and have the ability to play Xenoblade.
