Mmh. I haven't heard the OST, but I'm kinda doubtful that it can beat AM2R's (like the rest of the game, lol)

Yeah, It's not quite as good as AM2R but it's still really good in it's own right.
It also remixes songs from other games (like AM2R) since Metroid 2 only has like 5 different songs.

Actually, it really isn't hyperbole -- there are very few songs in that game, being that it is a GBA game, and they stuffed the cart with a huge map. Let's see...
