I never do it, and it bugs me when other people do it unless it's only to get something that's limited on one world(like sky island loot).

Tbh it's fine if it's solo playthroughs, the achievements are easy enough to get anyway that world hopping doesn't really matter.
Multiplayer though... it's so scummy to do that.

I honestly think world hopping is okay. I also think taking advantage of glitches are okay. My general view is that, 'if it's in the game, it's fine.'

Taking advantage of glitches is ok as long as you aren’t getting achievements by doing them. Unless it’s something that the developers clearly intend to leave in the game.

If U have set a challenge for yourself then it's not the best but if it's just playing then it's fine
