Ah ok. That is fun. I did it on my first expert world. The 3rd stage is really hard for me.

yeah...I have been doing a LOOT of practice.
I got duke fishy down to 50% ,then I died from the cthulhunado and the sharks.

Tempest staff isn't even that bad of a drop. I mean, it is the weakest of duke drops, but considering duke himself has the power of a post-plantera/golem boss, even his weakest drop is still powerful enough to carry you through mechs and plantera.

What difficulty and gear are you playing with? I may have some tips for you.

my gear is:
amphibian boots,
bunch o ballons
obsidian shield for when not if I get hit
warrior/melee emblem
all warding
frost armor and shadowflame knives (cus they're that good) and pirate staff
expert mode FTW
