A boss that doesn’t do much damage, but give you a poison that drains faster the more you get hit

i think ill make my Queen Spider boss do that

Or how about an enemy that does damage to you if you hit it, so you have to make it fall is lava or get hit by a boulder or something

that sounds super gimmicky
