Does this happen every single time? What about if you try with another character (a new one), or in a new world. Can you do some testing and see if it happens then also?

Well I was playing in a 1.3 world that was updated to 1.4. Maybe that's the reason

So I went back to painter and now is doesnt do it anymore. I went back with same character and same world just now.
