Think about a beautiful piece of art that you want to create, and you have a bit of knowledge in that art. But you actually want to create it in the most beautiful and perfect way possible. (If a drawing is too simple, then think of a huge sculpture, a statue, or even building a house)

Even with the current skill you have, you do believe it is possible, but you do not realise the amount of time and effort it takes to make it possible.
6 months later, you have a start, maybe already the basics, it looks okay-ish, but it can look better.

A year in, you start getting exhausted, but the art is not done yet, will you continue it in the same vision you had from the start, will you shorten up parts that are out of your scope to reach, or will you abandon the art?

You have to make a lot of choices during the progress of creating your masterpiece at the cost of your own time and effort, but how far will you push it?
