Exactly as it says in the title. I believe that I suggested this as a feature to be added to a QoL mod, but I don't see why it couldn't be added to the base game.
Rationale is that clay can actually become hard to come by, as it is a limited resource present mostly in the surface/underground...
This is ridiculous and I love it.
What should its functionality be? I vote it becomes the boulder equivalent of a Martian Drone when activated: it floats up and rapidly homes in on you before exploding. Much like getting a ping, you can't escape it.
I think that the sound of mining ice is annoying by virtue of it being too loud. Like, c'mon, mining ice has no right sounding more abrasive than mining stone. Just knock down the volume or tone down the high-end of the sound and it'd be better. (It's not so bad if you're mining one block at a...
Make clay renewable by throwing Mud into shimmer. Dirt is renewable and, by extension, so is mud, and clay is already somewhat difficult to amass if you aren't world-hopping.

I believe you mean the "Hellfire" debuff, although that only deals 15 damage per second. Or do you mean the Burning debuff? (That one is 50 damage per second, but is exclusively caused by touching hazardous blocks as of now.)
Is it like an Enchanted Sundial, in that it has to be activated for it to have an effect, or will it passively block events so long as it's placed down somewhere in the world?
Gotcha. You'd need some kind of overlay that went in front of the blocks signifying the presence of spider walls in order for that to work, then; I'm not sure if such a system exists in the game already, I wonder how hard it would be to code.
...there is a way of exploring the dungeon pre-boss, such that you can have both the Water Bolt and Demon Scythe pre-boss. I will not elaborate on how, but it is simpler than you think. (Although by the time you have enough gear to pull off the strategy effectively, it's much easier to just kill...
