The only possibly "op" items in Thorium that I can remember off the top of my head are the donator items that can only be made once you beat Thorium's final boss. Even then, those items still don't completely make you a "camp in one spot and own all." Favorite is the bow and even that will get...
Not sure if its been pointed out yet but I found something off with the new rocket fist weapon. After reforging it, using it once, then hovering my mouse over it the prefix shows the crit chance changes to -30%. That seems like it would be a bug unless a rocket propelled fist is meant to not...
As they said, having the cosmic car key lets you have a flying mount. Makes it much easier to dodge and move around mobs. You can also get other great stuff from said martian madness event like the influx wafer, which is a much better sword then the true nights edge.
As he said, depending on how many altars you have smashed you could get a lot more corruption/crimson then you expect. A simple way around this to never have to smash a altar is just to fish up brown, metal, and gold crates. Opening them can get you the 3 starter hardmode ores/bars allowing you...
If you have the time and patience you could also make said 5 wide holes all the way down to hell and fill them with wood to section of the spread of hallow and/or corruption even further.
This. This always happens to me when I start a new character without fail. Was even my first death in my first expert world play through. Fighting the king slime cause slime rain is a thing now, forget there was a high drop off point in the desert I was fighting in, fell and almost died to it...
I've always found the world gen to be dodgey. If anything I'm happy just getting a world that doesn't have the corruption or crimson right the fudge next to or surrounding the jungle. Long as that is met I'll continue to play in that world.
A side note, instead of breaking the demon altars to make the 3 beginning hardmode ores to show up, you can just fish up wooden, iron, and gold crates. Once you get into hardmode the crates can give you the hardmode ores. If I remember correctly it also stops the mech bosses spawning by themself...
You are lucky only getting one per playthrough. In the one playthrough I did with 3 of my friends we got like... 10 or more slime rains as we made our way from start to the moon lord. It got annoying as :red:.
You sir or madam get a cookie. Its been said by red or someone in the dev team that the console and mobile versions exclusive content will never ever come to pc.
From what i've seen, that is really all that is special to expert mode aside from mobs being "stronger." Granted a the boss exclusive drops are neat and the higher drop rates can "help" i'd rather just stick to normal worlds... once I get my freaking gravity globe that is
I personally love the new starfury since I always end up going the melee route at the start. Granted I didn't really play this game till it was like... a few months before 1.2 update so I didn't get to use the old starfury much and when I did my mana was crap and could only fire a few stars...
