I would imagine there's some size limitation in place to try and prevent people from doing that, Similar with the Old One's Army requiring a flat area. (However I wonder if it would account for actuating blocks.)
I can understand the benefits of tying the bestiary to the world, Especially in multiplayer since everyone would have to grind less for the information, But I wish once you had that information it would carry over with the character regardless of what world they play on.

I never said anything about one version being superior over the other. The context there was I did something that I thought was cool/unknown, Only to be informed that it could be replicated easier. (The bit with the Holy Hand 'Nades was simply for an example)
While I do enjoy using these on a new playthrough, They simply never end up going anywhere useful or are outclassed by options once Hardmode is reached. Even the Tiger Climbing Claws saw an end-game recipe, So why not give these a shot?
