    Kinda. At least suffixes could still be used later in the game, compared to weapons that may end up getting dated as you progress in the game.

    Suffixes could increment further the gameplay and combat, making the character have more ways of dealing with challenges. Like, for example, launching fireball on mouse direction upon landing a critical. Or maybe have the chance of digging an extra ore node upon destroying one.
