I don't agree with this take entirely, while yes there are many mechanics and such that you can eventually find out yourself over the course of how many playthroughs but how exactly are we getting there? I don't personally know someone who has blindly played a game through multiple playthroughs...
The point of the suggestion isn't to make it not a wiki game, it is to just lessen that to make the new player experience better.

If you have a nvidia card, you can cap your fps in the nvidia control panel. Right click on desktop -> nvidia control panel -> manage 3d settings. There you can change the settings global or for each app.
I don't see any issue using it against mobs, however I don't see it being implemented into your standard volcano farm since it does require nothing to be directly above the vents
I totally haven't been playing too much Baldur's Gate 3 lately, but I would love to see some poison gas vents. I imagine they would work similar to Fog Machines were the gas just lingers in the air until the vent is shut or (not sure if this can be programmed like this) but the vent is covered...
If you blow up until you reach the true bottom of the world (past the screen you see in game there is more blocks) you can explode those and lava will start flowing down draining. Then you will need to leave and rejoin so all the liquids settle and it'll drain 10x faster than sitting there...
I am asking since there is a feature already in the game called "quick buff" which will drink all potions in your inventory and open void bag. If you already have a potion buff then it won't drink another one, could be the solution for your problem
A flashlight wouldn't be useful by the time you get it from Golem, it would be best if you can obtain it without defeating any bosses. Maybe adding it to the desert chest loot pile
